Korea | Part 1

My, has it been a long journey here!

Korea so far has definitely been an experience. Jeju is known for it’s chocolate, oranges (they’re everywhere!) and black pig. Unfortunately our hotel does not offer much to eat so we’ve done a little exploring around our part of the island.

Our journey began at the market. An array of chocolates, fruit, and loads of different fish (both alive and cooked) filled the streets. At some of the shops, there was just an elderly woman sitting on a thin rug. After the market, we stopped at a makeup store that had caught my eye. The store itself was adorable! Pink decor everywhere and girly packaging. I bought only a few items: a lipgloss, concealer, and concealer dual headed brush. The woman also threw in a few extra samples.

Our last stop for the day was at a giant shopping center. It reminded me a lot of a “Super Walmart” because on one floor they had makeup, skincare, clothes and shoes. On the second level they had groceries and electronics and on the third was the parking garage and a coffee shop.
(Note: they also had a KFC which we ended up eating at because hey, they offered free wifi!)

At the moment, I’m sipping some green tea in bed and listening to the waves in the distance.
It also happens to be my birthday today! Technically, my actual birthday is tomorrow back home but as we are a day ahead here in Korea, I am now 22
